PULLITA COMMUNITY CONGRATULATES GENERAL JOHN KONG NYUON

We the community members of Pullita Payam of Fangak County in Juba and at grassroots, send our heartfelt Congratulations to Lt. General JOHN KONG NYUON TUT upon his appointment as the first Minister of Defence and Veterans’ Affairs in the first Government of the Republic of South Sudan.

Without doubt, General Kong is a right man in a right place. He has been a long time serving officer of SPLA and long time South Sudanese veteran and freedom fighter since Any Anya 1 liberation war. General Kong led forces of SPLA against enemies and as a commander; he liberated most towns in Greater Equatoria region during the South Sudan’s quest for freedom apart from his successive liberation endeavours in Upper Nile.

We wholeheartedly thank and congratulate President of the Republic General Salva Kiir Mayardit for choosing him for the position to serve South Sudanese. ‘Shukran Seyyid el rais’ for your careful selection for people’s leader General Kong Nyuon Tut.

We urge General Kong to  demonstrate and execute the trust vested in him by the President of the Republic and the people of South Sudan to work with all stakeholders in ensuring  security of all people of South Sudan. We are behind you and congratulations.

Pullita Community shall always stand with  pro-people leaders. In special way, we salute the heroic struggles by the sons and daughters of Fangak County and the whole of Greater Fangak as well as other freedom fighters of South Sudan.

We honour in a special way Cdr William Nyuon Bany, Cdr Isaac Gatluok Riek, Cdr Michael Top Yai, Cdr Kelito Diang Badeng, Cdr Wichar Lam, Cdr Wiee Duop Nyang, Cdr Jok Ruach, Cdr Elijah Hon Top, Cdr Paul Gatnor Gew, Cdr John Kulang Puot, Cdr Peter Riir Puok and Greater Chiefs Buom Wuor and Chuol Jal who sacrificed their lives for freedom to reach July 9, 2011.

Congratulations General Kong and Congratulations once again to President General Kiir for his wise selection. General Kong is very humble, patient and patriotic nationalist son of South Sudan.
